Kraemer & Kin Brewing Announces Taproom Move from Alburgh to North Hero
The Vermont Brewers Association is excited to see Kraemer & Kin Brewing take this next step and open their new taproom in North Hero! We’re thrilled to watch their continued growth and can’t wait for more people to experience their thoughtful, small-batch beers in such a beautiful corner of the state. Cheers to new beginnings and island brews!
Kraemer & Kin Brewing, a family-owned and operated Vermont brewery, will move its taproom to 3517 US Route 2 in North Hero.
Plans for the new taproom include opportunities to enjoy Kraemer & Kin beer both indoors and out – taking advantage of a beautiful lakeside view accessible to patrons on foot, by car, and by boat courtesy of the Hero’s Welcome dock located across the street.
After enjoying the last three years at the Alburg Golf Club, owners Levi, Christie and Heather Kraemer are excited to begin a new chapter for Kraemer & Kin Brewing, a growing staple of the Champlain Islands community.
“Above all, it is important for us to keep our business in the Champlain Islands,” owner and head brewer Levi Kraemer said. “We opened our first taproom just down the street at the Green Tara Space five years ago, and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring the business full circle back into North Hero.”
With the new taproom, located directly next to Hero’s Welcome general store, Heather Kraemer said she hopes their business continues to be an even more proactive part of the community.
“Our goal has always been to cultivate a real sense of local pride with Kraemer & Kin, as well as uplifting other neighboring businesses through our product and platform,” she said.
She said that many of their seasonal beer offerings will continue to feature locally-sourced ingredients, and that their bar will also feature a variety of Vermont-based wine and liquor products.
Kraemer & Kin also plans to build a brand-new food truck that will mainly focus on a homemade, woodfired pizza menu.
“We want to continue to provide families and friends a space to spend time with one another,” Christie Kraemer said. “Continuing to provide quality, from-scratch food options is a no-brainer for us.”
Kraemer & Kin is hopes to have the new taproom open next month.
